In nine states (Alaska, California, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Washington and Vermont) women of any age may get EC directly from specially trained pharmacists without providing an advance prescription.

EC is a safe and effective way to prevent pregnancy — even after sex! Use EC if:

• You had unprotected sex
• You were forced to have sex
