Plan B EC Now Available in Pharmacies Without a Prescription

Make your voice heard!
Calling all college women: take the Choice USA survey about EC access on your campus!
Women of all ages may sign the Choice USA petition to encourage the FDA to make Plan B available to women of all ages without a prescription.

In nine states (Alaska, California, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Washington and Vermont) women may now get Emergency Contraception (EC) directly from a pharmacy.

You don’t need to visit your doctor or clinic first.

EC is a safe and effective way to prevent pregnancy — even after sex! Use EC if:

  • Your contraception didn’t work
  • You had unprotected sex
  • You were forced to have sex
